LANCO FIELDHOUSE & LANCASTER JUNIOR BARNSTORMERS
SUMMER BASEBALL LEAGUE
THE LANCO FIELD HOUSE WILL BE HOSTING A YOUTH SUMMER BASEBALL LEAGUE
STARTING ON JUNE 19 and ENDING on August 14 FOR AGES 5-10.
There is no need to worry about summer thunderstorms or 90 degree weather
canceling a game - all games are played in the LFH climate controlled indoor
facility, which includes regulation sized youth baseball fields!
AGES 5-6 (Rookies) WILL BE MACHINE PITCH/T-BALL (GAMES ARE ON THURSDAY EVENINGS)
AGES 7-8 (Minors) WILL BE MACHINE PITCH (GAMES ARE ON FRIDAY EVENINGS and/ SATURDAY MORNINGS)
AGES 9-10 (Majors) WILL BE MACHINE PITCH (GAMES ARE ON FRIDAY EVENINGS AND/OR SATURDAY MORNINGS)
THE SUMMER LEAGUE TEAMS WILL CONSIST OF:
LANCASTER BARNSTORMERS, YORK REVOLUTION
CAMDEN RIVER SHARKS and SOUTH MARYLAND RIVER CRABS
THERE WILL BE 4-6 TEAMS AT EACH AGE LEVEL AND EACH TEAM WILL PLAY 12 TO 16 GAMES PLUS AN END OF YEAR TOURNAMENT.
COST IS $85 PER PLAYER (INCLUDES SHIRT AND CAP)

Lanco Fieldhouse Intramural Baseball Program- LFH Intramural Baseball Program consists of three (3) separate levels: ROOKIES (equivalent of tee-ball), MINORS and MAJORS. Games for all intramural levels start in MID/LATE JUNE and run through mid AUGUST. |
ROOKIES (AGES 5-6) (YOU CAN NOT TURN 7 BEFORE 5/01/2010)- This level is a combination of tee-ball or MACHINE pitch, depending upon the individual players skill level. Coaches are encouraged to USE THE PITCHING MACHINE for their players. Every player bats in each inning. The inning ends when all players for both teams have batted, regardless of the number of outs recorded. There will be an end of year tournament for all age levels. |
MINORS (AGES 7-8) (YOU CAN NOT TURN 9 BEFORE 5/01/2010)- MACHINE PITCH to the players in this league. This age group will generally be for the younger kids within the age bracket and/or those players that are less skilled and/or those with little experience. There will be an end of year tournament for all age levels. |
MAJORS (AGES 9-10) (YOU CAN NOT TURN 11 BEFORE 5/01/2010)- MACHINE PITCH to the players in this league. This age group will generally be for the older kids within the age bracket and/or the stronger skilled players. There will be an end of year tournament for all age levels.
