Non-Wood bat rules for LCYBL

 

 

2011 Season - All non wood bats will use the existing BSER standards.  - no change to our current rule. (If the bat states Little League approved they meet the current BSER standard)

 

2012 Season (Spring) - All 2 5/8 -3 bats (Non-Wood) will use the new BBCORE standard (The BBCORE stamp will be on the bat).  Silkscreen or permanent certification mark on bat – No Sticker!

Composit bats that meet the BBCORE standard and are authorized for High School use -

 

 High School Approved Bats.

 

All 2 1/4 bats must have a Bat Performance Factor (BPF) of 1.15 or less. As of 11/03/11 Non Wood Bats THAT MEET THE BAT PERFORMANCE FACTOR (BPF) STANDARD, AND THE ACCELERATED BREAK IN (ABI) PROCEDURE will be the non wood bats that will be allowed in LCYBL play.  Use this link as your guide: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/approvedcompbatssmall.htm

This list will be locked in the first week of April 2012.

 


 

At 14u Section 1 & 2 we utilize the 2 5/8 -3 non-wood bats.  At 14u Section 3 we utilize the same rule as Section 1 & 2 plus the 2 ¼ unlimited drop.  A player can use a wood bat!

 

At 12u and below we utilize the 2 1/4 inch non-wood bat with no restriction.
